Powder coating offers superior protection for metals, and protection equals durability. Powder coating also offers corrosion protection and durability greater than found in liquid based coatings. A wide range of colors and decorative finishes are available. Solid lubricants have come a long way since graphite powder was first dusted onto a metal wear surface. Today these lubricants are compounded with resin binders, pigments, and other additives to form a variety of low friction coatings that can be bonded as thin films to wear surfaces.
